Vertical Gardens

Patrick Blanc is a French botanic that became a designer using his knowledge about plants. He is perhaps mostly famous for the five stories high vertical garden arrangement on a museum in Madrid, Spain, in 2007. Even Blanc's - from the outside - ordinary apartment contains a wall that looks more or less like the one on the picture, with 250 different species, and the floor is basically an aquarium.  Pic source. "Vogue Raises Money" (and it really does) or "Model Charity to the USA"

As they say - any publicity is good publicity! Photographer Annie Leibovitz has documented the troops that were engaged in the work around the storm Sandy from late 2012, spicing the teams up with models.

Wedding

The signs to the left caught my eye initially, and then I had to add the rest of the composition for perfection, for perfection it is. I found this lovely blog by Bryan and Mae where every picture they take represents a story, and the masterpieces above are just a part of all the wed couples' big day that they have documented with very much love.

Rooftop Restaurant 3

One of my first posts was about a restaurant in New York, which is turning so that its guests have an amazing 360 degrees view - and it turns out (hehe, turns out...) that Iceland has this kind of a restaurant as well - Perlan Restaurant. The homepage says: "...you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Reykjavik and beyond as the restaurant gently completes a full rotation every two hours."

When I search for pictures, it looks very futuristic - like a mixage of an iron flower seen from above and the building that the people who belong to the Raëlism religion dream of having.

Reykjavík/Reykjavíkurborg

I found this amazing picture on a fashion blog (!). It really gives a perspective; a friend from France said just the other week that he thinks Iceland is the most beautiful country in the world. He was there exactly during the vulcano eruption a couple of years ago and was not scared for even a second.
