Tribes

Photographer Jimmy Nelson spent two weeks with each of the 30+ tribes he documented. Amazing how rich the earth's population is in cultures that an average school kid knows almost nothing about.

Mapping animals' patterns

It is like the story that in every elevator, there is a strong but tiny being that pulls it up and down all day long :)

Wish - art at the Belfast Festival

This looks like a work of Photoshop - at a glance, nothing in particular, right? But this portrait is very real and happens to be the biggest land art portrait in United Kingdom and Ireland, made by the artist Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada with the assistance of a lot of people autumn 2013.

Vertical Gardens

Patrick Blanc is a French botanic that became a designer using his knowledge about plants. He is perhaps mostly famous for the five stories high vertical garden arrangement on a museum in Madrid, Spain, in 2007. Even Blanc's - from the outside - ordinary apartment contains a wall that looks more or less like the one on the picture, with 250 different species, and the floor is basically an aquarium.  Pic source.
